An original planning exercise for Media.io. Adapt the brief to the inputs available in your chosen tool; examples describe creative intent, not tested product results.
Assign a buyer question to each image
The main view answers what the object looks like. A detail can show the switch or shade finish. A context image helps communicate scale and placement. If two images answer the same question, replace one with a view that resolves a real uncertainty.
Keep editing intensity consistent
A heavily stylized lifestyle image beside a plain documentary photo can make the product appear to change. Keep finish and color treatment aligned across the set. Use actual product evidence for dimensions and features rather than asking an image model to invent them.
Review the set in listing order
Start with the clearest representation and place supporting views afterward. Check the images at the size a buyer will actually see. Add any dimensions or feature labels as editable graphics after confirming the measurements, and keep the original sources with the finished exports.
PUT IT INTO WORDS
A Media.io example brief
Product image plan for one desk lamp: a clean three-quarter main view, a close detail of the real switch and finish, and a reading-table context view. Preserve the same proportions and material color throughout. Keep backgrounds restrained and leave text as a separate editable layer based on verified product information.
Use this as a starting point, then record the specific change you want to test.
BEFORE THE NEXT VERSION
Review the result against the brief
- Each image should answer a distinct buyer question.
- The switch, shade and base must agree across the whole set.
- Inspect the first image at thumbnail size before approving the sequence.
Practical question
Should every image use the same background?
Consistency helps, but different backgrounds can serve different roles. Keep the main product representation accurate and make the context view clearly supportive rather than changing the apparent design or scale.
